You guys will be find I went in the 22 wasn't nervous one bit thought I would be once I was getting in.the surgery room but I swear they was like this is medto relax you and dam I woke up in recovery was fast diets 2 days are the hardest make sure to walk helps with gas pains

I really struggled the first 5 days...day 4 was the emotional day.. I am at day 7 and although I don't have much energy I feel more like my self!

Well I sit and ready all the post of how everyone is doing and I wish everyone the very best in there journey,,My journey will begin Wednesday (3-27) morning (just waiting on the time to be at the hospital) so by the evening I will be among the banded group. I also want to say what a birthday present to me "The start of a new life"..I am kinda nervous about this surgery but I know it is going to be all worth it. All my meds are melt in your mouth or liquid...got them all ready...Now I am just waiting on the time...Good luck to anyone else that is going in this month and Congrats to all who have been banded...

Today is my day! Im in pre op waiting now! I got this!

My surgery is Friday, 29th....guess I am one of the last to have it done. Been following everyone on the March 2013 Forum.......Wishing everyone who has already gone through and those of us that will very soon a smooth recovery and much success.......make it a great day!!!!!!

I have tons of LBT posts to catch up on over the past couple of days. Will read them all later... Just got home from the hospital last night. Having a lot of pain, and find it hard to breath sometimes because of the pain. But glad it's over. The liquid Vicodin is a savior. I went through with the banded plication, gallbladder removal and repair of a hiatal hernia. The doctor said the recovery may be a bit longer than just the band alone. I expected pain, but didn't expect this much. I'm sure it will get better of the next few days.

Congrats to all of my March band buddies! I'm excited on this journey toward a healthier life, and wish the same for everyone here. Now......back to bed with my heating pad. OMG -SO out of sorts

Mine is tomorrow! 3/28/13

Good luck! Exciting new changes coming, and I wish you all the best. I just had mine on Monday, and can only walk around for short periods. They say that walking helps release the gas, but so far it's been pretty slow. But it's been only less than 48 hours since the surgery, so I guess I just need to relax! Feel like I was beat up and hit by a Mac truck

Tezzie, it looks like you've done very well on your pre-op! Keep up the good work. You'll do great.

Well my surgery is scheduled Friday, March 29th but I had a change of heart a few weeks back and decided to change to the vertical sleeve. My decision is personal and what I believe is going to be best for me. Scary though!! I struggled with this from my first appointment in October but anyhow I am excited for the change and looking forward to this journey. Just wanted to say good luck to each and everyone of you in your weight loss journey. I will be moving on to sleevetalk.com. God Bless!

So I was banded yesterday! So far so good. I had gas pains yesterday, but i walked alot and had my gas x strips and heating pad..im feeling much better today. We fly home today, im ready to see my kids! The port site is only one that hurts. Plus I feel my stomach is weighted down. But that is to be expected. They also installed a pain ball, its a plastic ball with 2 days of medicine. It has a little plastic tube attached under my skin it gives my incisions a steady dose of pain medication. Once the medicine is gone they told me to take a deep breath and pull it out..
