Horseback riding.. too soon?

So I am a horseback riding enthusiest. I ride at least a couple times a week. Since surgry I have only ridden one time and it's killing me. I was wondering if i can get back into seriously riding again. Friday marks the start of my fourth week since surgery. I started running this week and I have had no pain what so ever, also when I rode that one time I wasn't bothered at all. My biggest concern is that if something happens I could tear the stitches on my abs.

I have an opportunity to ride some horses for a lady in return for free lessons and I would love to take her up on that offer! It's be 3 days a week and a lesson. It's such a good work out too! I'm so ready to be on horseback again!
