Pseudo-PB after band removal

Recommended Posts

OK I had a weird experience last night. I of course did not follow the nutrisystem meals for supper. What a concept? Anyway, as I wolfed down the 6 inch Subway and my small bag of Fritos, I burped or hiccuped or something and had a small PB. I was shocked. I have had this sensation before but just attributed it to my mind playing tricks with me. I obviously had had way too much to eat. Who would have thunk that a subway sandwich would be too much, I mean really? LOL!!! Anyway, I had this revelation that maybe I can use this to my advantage.

The good thing is I had the PB without the pain. The BAD thing is I had the PB without the pain. So no warning whatsoever it was gonna happen. It just happened. SIGH!!

The really sad thing is I was still in head hunger after eating the sandwich and fritos. I was looking for something else to shove down my gullet.

I am so frustrated and fighting this war with my head. I gotta get a handle on it and soon or I will be back to 296 or higher in about a month. No joke people!!!

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. HUGS to you all.

If we can all come up with some mantra or something that works for us all to silence the head demon then we would make a mint. LOL!! That is what is killing me right now. If I could just smack him down when he calls out then I could win this war on the weight loss.

I am finding that the more I keep my mind occupied then he is pretty quiet. The minute I am still and not doing anything that is when his voice sounds like a GONG.

The head demon says, "FIND SOMETHING TO EAT!! YOU KNOW YOU ARE HUNGRY!! GO RAVAGE THE KITCHEN AND EAT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. YOU KNOW I WON'T TELL AND NO ONE WILL KNOW. NO ONE IS IN THE HOUSE RIGHT NOW SO GO GRAB THAT BOTTLE OF HERSHEY Syrup AND DRINK HALF OF IT. GO AHEAD GO PENNI GO YOU CAN DO IT. "

See those are the things I hear in my head. It is like a cheering section in my own little world.

What happened? Was it just a wet burp?

Penni... what happend with getting on the show? Any hope. I think you would be great. I wish you lived closer so that I could be more of a support. I am training for a triathlon. It really helps with the weightloss. It is a 1/2 mile swim, 11 mile bike and a 3mile run. I know it seems like a lot but its really fun. If you might like to do it with me I would love to be your e-training buddy.

A lot of MY problem with overeating is that whatever Im eating taste SOOOOO good - that I dont wanna stop.

Almost like the sex-fene that never gets enough!

Penni - I see myself in you in too many ways.

If Im ever "de-banded", there will be NO stopping me.

You said it Sister... my exact words....(as I sit here eating cashews of all things, WTF, I'm not even hungry. Can goes in the garbage RIGHT NOW... WTF is wrong with me).

The only thing thats gonna stop me from over eating is death or a lobotamy.

Penni, Me too Me too.....I have had several PB's since unbanding. If I eat too much and burp it comes back up and I have had food get stuck. I am still not eating the bread or the sodas.....still keeping on track!! Good Luck to us!

Wow, Penni & Kelly! PB's, huh! I wish I got PB's or ANY sort of restriction would be nice. I don't think I was banded long enough for my stomach to be molded into that position. I think my tummy went right on back to exactly where it was before they took off my band :D . No phantom restriction for me - gosh darn it!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
