Congratulations! I was recently approved too and my date is 30 January. I'm excited. I've been on LBT for the past several months and I've learned a lot. I've already been trying different Protein Shakes and working on clearing foods out of my house that I will no longer need. I'm ready for the lifestyle change God is preparing to give me! ???„

I found a vanilla Protein Shake from Visalis that tastes like cake batter. You can add things to change into different flavors. With Vitamin and mineral supplements it gives complete nutrition.

Tyas,

Hang in there! Last week I was you. In fact 4 days ago I was waiting too!! Everyone says that the liquid diet is hard but the waiting game is hard too. I applied for Lapband in 2011 to be denied by insurance who actually stated that I, the patient, have purposefully gained weight! I've been on and off weight watchers since I was literally 9! Defeated and sad I have up.

This past June I received a call from the doctors office saying I should try again because some of the rules have changed. This time I did the 6 month diet ( last time I tried to skip the insurance required 6 month diet). I wrote a thread about how I felt sad and was struggling waiting for insurance and surprise!! The next day or 2 days after my doctors office called, they said Santa had forgotten one more gift!! Lol...

I needed to get my story off my chest because I feel like a champion!! I will be getting married In August to a wonderful man who has been there for my up and down weights and my denial and approval through insurance! This is my year and I start January 28th when I get banded! I'm ready... Hang in there everyone in this site is here for you!

It will be a yes! And we can stay in touch... I'm worried about the pain after the surgery I couldn't careless about the food and the different way of eating. I mean to say of course I will follow the rules but I feel so mad at food because I abused it..so I guess I'm mad at myself.. Well a new me begins the 28th ! I've never been more excited... I also got a no because at the time I had a bmi of 37 now it's 41.3 and I'm 25. But here's to the new us in 2013!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
