Never thought I would say this. But not eating enough...

Not sure my body even knows what to do with these extremes. Seriously though it is not like I am trying to sustain on nothing. Just been a rough week. Banded on 12-14 on 12-17 my husband had a heart attack ( go figure the skinny one was the unhealthy one). My father was rushed to the hospital on 12-18 and is still there and I have a 3 yr old. The issue with eating is actually the drinking. If I drink something I am usually hungry and then I know I have to wait 30ins and by then I am doing something else and don't eat.

Any suggestions for quick mushies on the go? I have made purreed chilli and the ricotta and sauce but they aren't very portable.

I haven't had more then 400 calories any day this week and am WAY under on Protein.< /p>

Any helps would be greatly appreciated. It's almost 3pm here and I just realized I didn't have anything today except Water as diet snapple and now I just drank and need to wait another 30 minutes....

Did your dr suggest protien shakes until you got to the mushie stage? Oh wait you are in mushies aren't you.... Hmmm. How about those to go containers of fat free cottage cheese, tiny cans of tuna, v8 juice sodium free, yogurt.... And Soup always works....

I know you have a lot on your plate..... But make sure you are getting those calories in. You need your health!

First, I am saying a prayer for you. That is a lot to have to deal with, especially since you need to take care of yourself.

Greek yogurt has a lot of Protein. Get the fat free kind and it usually 14 or 15 grams of protein. I buy Chobani.

Buy yourself a few Rubbermaid containers and fill them at night so you can just grab and go the next day. I made homemade sauce this week and I took 1/4 cup of it and mixed it with 1/2 cup part skim ricotta. It was dee-lish. And it had a fair amount of protein.

1/2 cup of egg substitutes has a lot of protein. You can microwave them to make "scrambled eggs."

Good luck to you. If you can get through everything with your hubby and your dad then you can get through anything. Just remember to take care of yourself first or you won't be able to take care of them.

i have 1/2 cup containers & make tuna, chicken, egg salad and that way their ready to grab & go. also, if I'm out & about, i pop a tuna kit into my purse so that I'm not tempted to eat out or if I'm on the road.... the kits are great cuz they won't go bad if it's in your purse for a few hrs or even longer, hope this helps, oh, they also have chicken salad kits, good luck....

Wow. You are having a bad month. Ok slim fast, special k, or any other Meal Replacement. Eating way too soon might put you in trouble that u can't handle right now. There are single mash potatoes and mac n cheese in the store that u add Water and micro wave. My fav was puree tomatoes with puree avocado.

Finallytime, God bless you and I will say a prayer for your family. Take care of yourself as best you can. Take the others advise on mushies. Try some yogurt,as others said, and drink some shakes. i know you are on mushies, but you need portable, too. Merry Christmas and best wishes. Karen

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
