After losing lots of weight, does anyone have issues with their port showing?

Recommended Posts

I cant wait to wear a tight top and have the only bulge be my port, not my rolls or back fat!!

Just wondering if I should be worried about my port showing a bump under my skin (or being noticeable at all)

So far I dont see it at all' date=' but I can very easily feel it under my skin. Like it feels really close to showing

Anyone have any experiences?

How easily can you guys feel your ports?[/quote']

I am down below my goal weight ( I weigh 123 lbs) and I cannot see my port. It bothers ne sometimes, depending on what I wear...feels like my belts rub up against it when I sit.

Mine noticeably protrudes however my Dr will be replacing it for a thinner and flatter version to suit my now flat tummy.

My doctor is Dr. Lee Au of Beverly Hills. ')

I carry my weight on my bottom half and have little belly fat so I could see my port right away like half an egg sticking out. I don't like it. It doesn't cause me anxiety, but once I get to my goal weight my doctor said he would put in a flat one. It's good though cos its become a goal for me and it motivates me to stay on track and get thin!

I don't much feel like wearing tight tops just yet with my fat arms and muffin top/ back fat hehe

When I do it's good to know there will be options.

I have the Realize band that has a flat port and is positioned differently that the lapband. I can feel it but can't see it even if I lay down and put my arms over my head!

I can see and feel mine too. Not to bad yet. Have lost 87 lbs so far. If it becomes a problem I think the Dr. Can fix the problem

This is funny that I just saw this topic. I finally got the courage up to add an avatar to my profile just a few minutes ago. When picking out a picture I noticed that my port shows in several of them. The avatar is small so its hard to see but in the original it is quite apparent. I was wearing a thin tight shirt on a rainy day so it was stuck to my skin and made it show more but mine does show on occasion depending upon what I wear. I have never gotten any comments about it though.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
