Same as Missy. 2 weeks clear liquids & 2 weeks full liquids. The good news....its only temporary. You will get through this. Best of luck to you.

Most of us have been there and done that. I promise that you won't starve to death. In fact, be pleased that you are feeling well enough to feel hungry. It means that you are healing well.

My doc has me on clear liquids for 2 weeks! Anyone else have to be on clear that long after being banded?

i most certainly was. the doctor didnt tell me but on the day of surgery he filled me with 5cc on my 14cc band. i am guessing this is why. so any questions call your doctor and see what is happening. as for me i stuck it out with following the liquid diet without any complications or death, lol, that was kinda a joke...okay here is another one....i would tell people at work when they would ask, "is that all you are eating---drinking Protein shakes and Water?" i would say yes, cause my doctor said that i already ate enough food for all my life and that now i need to drink lots of Fluid for the rest of my life. i thought it was funny :)

but thinking that i was going to do it for the rest of my life made the 2 weeks go by faster!!!

to me humor helps, hope it helps you too :)

I did 3 days clear liquid and 30 days full liquid. The time will go by quickly.

Try to keep yourself busy doing other things so you won't be thinking about food.< /p>

I was two days clear, one week liquid, and I am just finishing up one week mushies. It's amazing how different the post op instructions are around the board huh? I had a real hungry thing going on during full liquids, but it resolved itself. Try to stay busy doing anything not in/near your kitchen -- I found that as long as I was near my fridge I really really really wanted whatever was in there. When I was out of range, I didn't even feel hungry. My first day back at work I almost forgot I had brought my Protein Shake and went from 8 in the morning to late afternoon sipping Water and not being hungry. I walked in my kitchen and the head hunger snapped on like a light.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
