I payed $18000 in Reno Nv. Outragous compared to most other people. Mine does include three fills. Are fills included in the $10800 you payed in San Antonio?

Wish Center covers monthly support groups, all the post-op visits, continuous access to a nutritionist and exercise person. The only thing not included is fills- $105 w/out fluoro, and $205 with.

I am not banded yet but will be in 7 weeks. I also went to the wish center in IL. It cost me 10,800. The wish center does a 10 week program before they will band you:eek: . If you want to get it done sooner they do a fast track but in doing the fast track your exercise and diet is kicked in to high gear:faint: . I am on fast track instead of 10 weeks they gave me 8. I think my track was broken. lol. Good luck.

I switched to the Wish Center after my insurance denied me with the one doctor that they had tentatively approved in TX. I figured if I was going to pay that much, I wasn't going to drive 3 hours to the office, so I went with the Wish Center where I live.

That being said, I only had to do pre-op stuff with the Wish Center for 4 weeks because I was already pretty close to all their surgery requirements.

Northwest Weight Loss Surgery in Everett, Washington charges about $17,500. I was quoted that price about 2 weeks ago

http://www.thelapband.com/

The price includes 1 year post-op care and unlimited fills (I think) during that year.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
