Recommended Posts

I have been a little constipated lately, is that normal? I will hit my 4 week mark in a few days.

Oh Emily just let me tell you, yes it is!!! I was diagnosed with IBS 4 yrs ago with constant diarrhea everyday and had to take medicine to stop it, now I'm off the medicine...I stay constipated. We are not eating as much in quantity and we are not eating high fatty foods anymore. Stay hydrated that helps, eat plenty of veggies and be sure to get your Protein in too and I take a laxative/stool softener. Good luck, welcome to band land.

Ugh unfortunately, yes, it's very common. I don't even go every day anymore. I'm lucky if I go every 2-3 days.

A Fiber supplement can help but you have to really take it daily religiously. A stool softner can also help. I prefer them over a laxative because they're more gentle and don't cause all the cramping.

Drink LOTS of Water and try to get in more veggies.

Hang in there!

I had lots of trouble until after I fulfilled all the Stages. When I started eating normal, which I eat a salad every other day amd I do take fiber supplements(chewables) each day. I've had very little problem. Please keep your Water intake each day.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
