Dr. Kuri Put A 4Cc Band In Me - Is That Good

Recommended Posts

Haha....well yes....being in marketing...I do have a sensativity to how marketing is done. Having a Masters in it probably helps (or hurts...who knows :) ).

In researching the mexican doctors the past 3 years on this forum....I would just see a consistant and very odd pattern of forum posting (not consistant with a normal flow of conversation or very quick to discredit another Mexican doctor while promoting Dr. Ortiz at the same time) I have a problem with that.

Hey...nothing wrong with being passionate about your doctor. I was very impressed with my experience with Dr. Kuri and would recommend him to anyone......but when you have this odd type of posting and saying all these wonderful things and then saying...if you have any questions......please email me privately ect.... When you have a consistant cocktail mix of promoting one doctor' date=' discrediting others, odd forum posting out of nowhere and then saying message me privately.....that bothers me.

Again...because I've seen this type of behavior over 3 years here.....and my desire to that people should be void of human steering (and things should be kept pure in a life altering decision like this).....I jump out of my skin when see it on my thread....haha !!!

But yes...I see where you are coming from Jean !

Warmest regards,

MD[/quote']

You may have misinterrupted me. I am 18 days post op and that is when I met Dr. Ortiz. I was just sharing my experience. I wasn't Marketing anyone specific..

I certainly wasn't discarding Dr.Kuri by any means. I am sorry if you took it wrong. I was trying to defend your post about going to out of country.

I'm a lap band rookie and hardly Marketing.

That's what I got out of your post and you did nothing wrong. That's the worst parts of open forums, ppl misinterpret.

Or maybe...just maybe...Dr. Ortiz is a good surgeon with a good bedside manner and scores of happy, successful patients.

I suppose you could give his office a call and ask if it's true that he gives his patients a "gift" of some sort for referring new patients to him. In the name of thorough research, you know....

Again...this is based on historical fact in my research over 3 years. When something doesn't fit (e.g. odd posting, discrediting other doctors, and email me privately regarding the same doctor)...it doesn't fit. It could some time...yes...but not to the degree that I've seen it. We can agree to disagree....I'm fine with that.

But again...I hear what you are saying.

Enough said !

Throwing my hands up, shaking my head, so confused, so confused. I give up!

I can see that the numerous posts you mentioned can be historical fact, but how can you know (as fact) the motivation behind them?

Throwing my hands up, shaking my head, so confused, so confused. I give up!

Unless you have researched 3 years of threads involving Mexican doctors...you wouldn't know what I mean and what I have seen.

No need to discuss this anymore. Its a dead issue. No worries....

Blessings,

MD

Don't dismiss me!

I remember a thread a few months ago where Sojo told you that as a rule Drs in Mexico typically use 4cc bands and I told you to research it very well and you said, oh I will. Then you start this thread all surprise, surprised you got a 4cc band.

NICE RESEARCH DUDE!

Now I will dismiss you!

My dear boy, you are the one that brought up the subject of surgeon-slamming.

In the future, you might want to consider keeping to yourself any outlandish notions that you can't (or won't) defend.

I seem to remember someone asking something about Dr Kuri and I I think it was mentioned that thorough research should be done as there was an issue with one of the Mexican Dr's. I don't know which Dr it was as a lot of the history on LBT has been expunged.

However a simple search of the net reveals this.

http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2011/jun/09/family-seeks-answers-after-womans-lap-band-death/

He may be innocent he may be guilty, I have no idea. But hopefully someone that did thorough research would have found and investigated this.

Not that it matters once someone has had and survived surgery!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
