Today is my first day of my two weeks liquid fast, my surgery date is 10/23 too! I am drinking Optifast I purchased from my surgeons office. The already made shakes are good, but a little more expensive. The shake powder is not that yummy. But I will only be doing the Optifast for two weeks, then after that I'll probably go back to my EAS or powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury.

Ok so I will try injury and see, still waiting on insurance verification but I met all the requrirments so I hope so. I am so happy but nervous about after, I know I can do it but still. It will be nice having people to talk to that are going through it.

So I got approved with insurance, but then the doctor said it is scheduled Tuesday, which can't happen I was told the 23 by thhospital when I did pre-op test. They need to talk but I think my date might move but still on a limited diet and going full liquid next week.

I was banded oct 22 and had hiatal hernia repair. stayed overnight and went home the next day. Well whoever that gal was who went back to work next day or strolled Walmart after surgery...she was a superhero. I'm in way a lot of pain. Last night I got up to pee and got all sweaty and tunnel vision and had to call my ex who is an ER doctor to come over. Despite sipping all day I was dehydrated. I was up most of the night, too nauseous to take my pain meds I just sipped Water, then apple juice, eventually I got hydrated again. I'm feeling a bit better today, but can't manage anything with Protein, it all seems too rich and I feel like I would risk throwing up. So I'm sticking w water and juice and taking meds every 4 hours. I know people refer to that's rid when you have no restriction as banister hell, but I am in my own personal bands year hell day 2 post op. everyone says it gets better, so I'm hanging in there. But I'm SO glad I took 2 weeks off. This is rough.

I was banded Monday and the stomach girrgles have been so loud and I can feel them. I finally went 2 on day three and today was the first day my tummy growled from hunger. I am still on Jello nd broth till Monday and then cream Soups and more options. Not a lot of weightloss yet but hope it will catch up soon. Still have some pain when I walk to much but a heat pad helps

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
