So This is My First Week Of Being Banded, i Like it, But i Don't. i Think I'm Going Through A Phase, My Body is Confusing Me, I Feel Hungry But I'm Not, Like When i Haven't Eaten Anything Practically ALL DAY, i Still Can't Eat. And My insides Feel Weird Like The band is Floating Around Or Something. Lol. Has Anyone Felt These Feelings Before, Or is it Just Me?!

That's how I feel. I was banded on the 4th. There are moments where I am so mad I did this cause I just want something other than liquids! I also feel like my organs are moving anytime I shift or roll laying down. I also feel like I'm having a heart attack everytime I burp.

Omg! Me Too! i Was Banded On The 5th. And Yes, This liquids Thing is Really Challenging, but i Have To Make Myself Look At The Bright Side. The Only Thing i Would Like Right Now is For My insides To Sit Still An Stop moving Everywhere! Lol. This is Really Agitating, And i Can't Burp, it Hurts Too Bad!! -___-

Everything you all are feeling is perfectly normal. Just continue to stick to your diet and you will all heal correctly and do fine! I am 5 months post op and have lost 50lbs and I felt just like each of you in the beginning. I had a hiatal hernia repair and it took awhile to be able to burp without pain but it finally does go away.

I'm not really that sore. I'm ready to sleep on my stomach though! Did any of you try gasx? I read something about it on here but haven't tried it.

I was banded the same week as you..the only thing thats bothering me so far is the discomfort.I don't really feel so much pain or floating I'm just uncomfortable sleeping...I am also sleeping on a recliner..I'm tired of it already...I got my steri strips removed today so hopefully i'll be back to "normal" soon.

I was banded on the 5th. The bubbles that come up remind me of a break room Water cooler. Once they start they just keep coming! It is really difficult to get calories in and water is hard too but I'm doing good otherwise. No pain meds or nausea meds needed...but gasX is a must!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
