2Cc In 4Cc Band- Little Restriction

Recommended Posts

Hello all. I got 2 cc in my 4 cc band two days ago and do not have the restriction I was hoping for. I am worried. Has anyone else had the same with 4 cc band?

How long ago were you banded? I'm assuming some years ago being as they don't use the 4cc band anymore? Were you unfilled and refilled or something?

You should fill out your profile, it will better help us to answer your questions.

Sorry. I post from my phone so I have not had a chance to fill out my profile. I got banded in Mexico on August 18th. I have another appointment scheduled 11/2 for another fill if needed. Thank you.

Oh ok. Well I'm not real familiar with the smaller bands, however I'd assume you'd get restriction from them rather quickly. I'd definitely go for very small fills going forward being as it's already half full.

It does take most people multiple fills to have adequate Fluid in their bands, so don't worry, it'll come, it will just likely take some time.

I may be mistaken, but I read in some part here, that for a strange the 10cc bands are called 4cc. If that's the case, you might have a 10 cc band with a 4cc fill it might be little. I have a 100 cc with a 7.5 cc and I'm fine with the restriction..

Are you sure it's such a small band the one that you have?

Thank you everyone so much for posting responses. I went to another fill doctor and she said there is no way I could have an allergen 4cc and she said that is not possible because they do mot make a 4cc band. She filled me with 5 cc's and said I most likely have a ten. I called Mexico and they again said it was a 4cc band but then someone called me back and said it is a 10 cc. Huge relief. So now I am feeling a bit more restricted but go back on the fifteenth for a follow up. I am a little bummed that I spent 200 dollars on the first fill that did really nothing, but I am just glad I know now.

I got my Lapband done in Mexico. I had an issue because after my second fill I was too tight that I couldn't even suck on ice cubes. I ended up in the hospital due to dehydration. I found a doctor near me that was willing to take me as a patient. He unfilled my entire band had me do an UGI to be sure my band wasn't effected ad basically start over with my fills. It's been a pain but I'm glad I don't have to go to Mexico anymore because I felt like they didn't care in emergency situations. Be careful and ur band is a 10cc band not 4cc. I thought the same thing but was reassured. I currently got my "first fill" since that incident in July and I was banded in march. Just make sure to take it slowly. I currently don't have that much of a restriction but I've managed to lose 3lbs. It just depends on ur food intake and exercise. Good luck!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
