More Hungry & Scale Moving Up After 1St Fill!?

Recommended Posts

1st fill was a week ago. I feel more hungry now than I did before the fill. My scale is now also moving up a bit. This is so frustrating. I go back a week from today for #2.

Welcome to lapband hell! Your body has healed and you are hungry again, it happened to me. I am still not in the green zone so I have to watch myself carefully not to over do it. Compared to some I haven't lost much, but I feel better and I think 34 lbs in 3 months is pretty good.

Try, Try, Try to limit your self. Drink, Drink, Drink to help with the hunger. Sometimes when think I am really hungry I will sit down with a cup of cold green tea (crystal light) drink it and it will help curb the hunger until it's time for me to eat again.

This is not an easy time in your journey, and no one can tell you how long it will last because every one is different. Just take it one hour at a time and stick to the basics and you will make it.

Hey 10 pounds a month is healthy weight loss. Great Start. I wad Banded 8.8.2012 First fill 9.18.12 I have lost 35 pounds and I drink 16 oz of Water or green tea an hour before most meals. I am only managing to complete one 8-10 oz meal a day. My question if I may How often do you eat. I am thinking of trying to get at 4-6 oz in every four hours. What do you think ?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
