Need A Buddy .. Texas Here

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm in the Katy area. A friend of mine was just banded & started a group on here (Katy area banders)

http://www.lapbandtalk.com/groups/show/115-katy-area-banders/

I think she wants to do local support group meetings/ hang out & visit with other banders on this side of Houston, if anyone is interested. She just started the group a couple of days ago.

I haven't posted in a while. Been struggling with emotional eating. I have however still been losing a little. I might have a leaky band, just don't know yet. We will measure again in January to see if the band is keeping the Fluid. I have been off by 1cc the last two times she checked the fluid, so my band threshold might be 5.2cc :( I am praying that it was just a fluke. I really could use some girl time with some of my banded sisters.

Hello Amber don't feel alone....I have struggled the same way as well....I went got my 3rd fill on this past Thursday....hopefully I will lose about 8lbs this month. I struggle a lot around my cycle time.....I have these crazy craving but I am hoping this month is better since I just got my fill....I tried to eat a scrambled egg to and that experience was horrible....so now I have to "x" them off my list.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
