Today Is 4 Months Post Op

Recommended Posts

Today marks 4 months for me with a weight loss of 66lbs and a total of 28 1/2 inches off my body so far. I've went from a snug 24 to an 18. Although my weight loss has slowed I'm still grateful for every pound I've lost. Yesterday was a non weight goal I met also I was able to get on my husband Harley with him and ride without the issues of being smushed against him and my butt hurting after only a short ride

I hear you! I'm down 35 in 4 months and this last 10 lbs has been WORK! I just got my 2nd fill and I'm feeling more restriction, but still feel like I'm "dieting".

LOVE hearing success stories.

The only advice is to follow Protein first and stick to 1 cup or less of food. Don't cheat yourself by eating the same foods that got us in this shape to begin with. I read a lot of I eat what I use to just smaller portions that to me is cheating yourself out of working with your band learn to eat healthier and of course exercise as much as you can. I've only had one fill and have to wait until half way through October for my second. Don't ever give up and take it one day at a time

2nd day post op. Not feeling to well. No real pain. Just having a lot of gas. Taking gas-x strips. Any other suggestions? Not much appetite. Trying to eat broth' date=' Protein in juice, Jello.[/quote']

Walk as much as possible, even if its just around the house. It helps with the gas.

Walk that is all that helped me. Gas x didn't do anything

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
