  • Hi Everyone... went back to work yesterday (desk job) after being banded on Friday 10/12. Surgical sites didn't bother me much the first few days but by Monday, the gas began to give me some shoulder

Less than 2 days for me! So excited. Doing good on liquids. Tuesday at 10:00 am! Woo hoo

I'm concerned... I've been on a liquid diet since Wednesday and have only lost 2.8 lbs! What am I doing wrong?

@Jeannevrs- my doctor told me its didnt matter how much I lost as long as I lost smething..

I know, but some people have lost 10-20 on the same diet! Mine in all liquid (Atkins advantage shakes).... Just wish I could do the same thing!

I actually put on water weight the first few days. I took a few days of herbal diuretics and my scale shows I've lost five pounds in a week. Not the big losses that others have reported but it is nice to see the numbers go down instead of up.

Do you feel bloated, or do you notice puffy ankles? Maybe the same water retention thing is happening.

I am almost one week in my preop diet. It's been tuff but I'm making it. I am scheduled for surgery on October 15th. Very excited and nervous..

Same here. One week on diet, October 15 is my surgery date.

Tomorrow I have to get clearence from my primary doctor and do a nuclear stress test to get cardiac clearence.

I'm scheduled for October 12th!!! Any one else having loose BM???? :/

Day 4 of liquid diet. I had a migraine for 2 days, but feeling much better now. I try to stretch my 4 shakes as much as possible. 11 days left, taking it one day at a time. i don't have a scale, is that bad? don't know how much I lost but feel a lot less bloated and a friend of my daughter's today said she noticed I lost a bit of weight, and she doesn't know I am doing this. So that is so motivating.

Can you try other shakes? I am on Unjury and LOVE them. Maybe a better tasting shake would help. JMHO...

Where did you get the Unjury from and how much was it?

Atkins shakes are delicious!

They really are great I have been drinking them for jp. Trying to prepare myself for my pre op diet, but I don't think I can have them for pre op.

Ladymarshall - my doctors do bariatric advantage, but it was making me sick so the other option they gave me was Atkins which is awesome. Just ask them if u can do it.

Hello' date=' everyone! My name is Tim, and I just joined.[/sub']

My wife and I are being banded on October 24. We are lucky enough to self-fund the surgeries, so we didn't have to go through a lot of insurance hoops (neither of our insurances will cover bariatric surgery). We would have loved to have the surgery earlier in October, but the surgeon said we would not be able to drive for a week after the surgery, and I have many commitments in October.

We are really looking forward to this life change!

Will be the best experience of y'all's life...
