Ok so I was two weeks post op yesterday, obviously I have no restriction, can eat and drink

normally without any need to chew chew chew and am surviving on sheer willpower to not hit the nearest McDonaldas lol. Needless to say I'm hungry hungry hungry so unless my Dr is playing silly buggers and just told me he put the band in I'm guessing I'm in what you all refer to as bandster hell???

Either way it sucks and I don't get a fill for another 5 weeks!!! Grrrr

My doctor actually showed me pics of the hernia repair and the band. I'm only 1 week post-op but it seems I have some type of restriction I'm not hungry and very little fills me up. Hopefully you'll make it to your first fill. Keep the faith!!

You can always call your doctors office and request to move your visit up a week or two. All they can say is no. If you throw in some desperation you might get better results. And if your doctor allows you to contact him/her directly you might have more success.

7 weeks is a long time for some of us. Mine was supposed to be 6 weeks but I got my doctor to move it up one week. And I did get a fill.

It takes all the will power you can muster.... but keep in mind...any weight you lose will shorten the time until you hit your goal while any weight you gain will prolong it. Thats what kept me on track!

You can do it!

agree with all posters......let me add, it will take WANT power.

if you want to lose weight and be healthy, then do what you have to do. no side steps, no i cant this or that. you just do it. (think of all you did to get this surgery). it was worth it. so its worth it for you to stay strong and positive.

you got this :)

I know it is hard but I know you can do it Focus on protien that you can eat when I eat my protien(eggs, etc) instead of drinking them I stay fuller longer and I am more satisfied than with just the protien shakes so I plan my meals and supplement with my shake. I know you will do well hang in there I would try to get it moved up like someone else suggested or at least ask them to call you if someone cancels thier appt

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
