I have been feeling nauseaous lately. I did have a binge episode on Thursday night, and at first I thought I may have just drank too much, but now everytime I eat, I get so nauseaous after. I can still eat and drink, but I am full super fast and then I get naueasous. I was thinking I should do no solids and Protein Shakes for a day or so, and see how I feel. I have just never felt like this. I also got my period, and since my weight loss, my periods have been intense. Any thoughts? Now I know I shouldn't have binged, I know that, so if anyone has had a band slip or any thoughts on that, I would appreciate that. Thanks!

I'd try liquids for a few days, and see if things settle down. If not, I'd make an appointment with your surgeon, and be honest about what happened, and what is going on.

We all eat too much sometimes, that's why we are here :)

I know during my last period I felt horrible everytime after I had something to eat. Talked to my doctor and he suggested during that time of the month to do liquid and soft foods to see if that would help. It stoped once my period was over. Hope it gets better

Yes my band is more sensitive during TOM..I have found if I have vomiting episodes to back off and do liquids and ease back into soft foods as my band is irritated..best wishes..and if after a few days no better ..contact your doc.

As far as a slip- as long as you can keep things down I think your fine. My surgeon said if there is a slip you suddenly can't keep anything down. Not even Water. Good luck

Thanks everyone! I did liquids/soft foods, and I was fine! I think my period was the culprit! :)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
