What are you afraid of?

What are you afraid of?

Dying young

Heart attacks

stroke

Never seeing my girls grown with families of their own

Someone seeing me naked

Resturant booths

Failure

Cloth shopping

Loosing my hair

Loosing my teeth

Never being a normal size

Job interveiwing

Crowds

Flying (small seats and smaller seat belts)

one size fits all

Does your fears motivate you or hold you back? The jury is still out for me.......I know what I am suppose to be doing, I just not sure why I don't do it. Is it fear of failure or something else?

I'm afraid of losing my band and getting fat! The more I read and research, the band may not be a life time device. So I’ve been thinking of plan B and how to live without a band if it had to be removed.

I live each day for today!

I'm afraid that I will never be able to lose weight.

I am afraid that I will become fatter.

I am afraid of cancer.

I am afraid of being in a terrible car accident.

I am afraid of dying before my son is on his own, because if I died, he'd have no parents and have to be raised by my crazy family.

I am afraid that I will never get married.

I am afraid that I will never be completely independant.

I am afraid of spiders or flying insects.

I am afraid that I'm not a good enough person and God wont accept me when I die.

I am afraid of being disliked for my weight.

I am afraid of being naked with a man.

I am afraid that I'll never get my band and will lose hope forever.

I'm afraid that one day I'll give up trying.

My biggest fear is losing people I love.

My next greatest fear is being incredibly poor when I'm old, as I have no retirement savings or plan...I just barely get through each month.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
