Sodium

Ok so here is my question... Anyone have any info on sodium intake post/pre-op. Isn't Crystal Light and the like full of sodium?? Doesn't sodium essentially dehydrate you? I'm not much of a straight water drinking person so this would be adjustment I guess I would have to make but somebody gimme an out, a substitute or tell me I'm nuts!! I wanna do this right... ( I hope I'm just nuts )

I dunno.....I use drink crystals a lot. The water where I live tastes terrible. Sodium makes you retain water.

I, for one, love sodium. It makes food taste better, and keeps me from having to pee on long car trips.

I have never heard of crystal light having sodium, but just to make sure, check the boxes before you purchase it and drink it.

Sodium and water go together so it will make you retain water not excrete it. Caffeine can dehydrate you.
