Is It Any Different When....

Recommended Posts

I had a fill yesterday with a new doctor. For him to know how much I had in my band he took all my Fluid out pour it down the drain and started over with new fluid. I had 7cc in my 10cc band now I have 7.75. Will this cause me to be more swollen then after a normal fill? Or is this the normal way they are supposed to do it? I feel really tight but I can get my liquids down! I'm hoping this will get me to my goal weight of 150 I am 184 now and have been for 3 months!

Although I dont watch when I get a fill, by listening to my doc talking, it appears he draws it all into the syringe and then puts it all back plus what he is adding. Maybe it is so he can make sure none has leaked out?

He left the needle in and sat me up and made me drink Water while sitting there and if i gurggled any he would take a little bit out and then make me drink another sip until it was just right. I loved him he did great!!! He even numbed the port site!

Kim we are pretty much in the situation. I am currently 187 and I have the same goal weight and have been on a 3 month plateau as well. I stopped my exercise all together for 3 month and now back. I am at 1000 calories a day. I am starting a new exercise plan this time 3 days a week I am walking/jogging 5 miles and 2 days hitting the pool and spending at least a hour doing work on my legs and arms. Remember that you don't want to lose weight to quickly the last thing you want is excess skin.

I'm down from 300 to 270 from 4-24-12 to today 6-6-12 and I'm losing so very slowly , but I still have the saggy or extra hanging skin now even tho losing slow can give u time for ur skin to shrink doesn't mean that is going to happen for everyone, I'm proof of that my tummy is the worse spot , so in a year I'll be having that Tummy Tuck then I might as well have my breast done . Ins covers it. But my point is losing slow does that always keep u frm having extra gaming skin , and for me slow is doing the same thing as fast would do .

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
