Me too! my post op visit was yesterday, Surgeon said the incisions healed nicely. She wants me on mushys now (for the next 2 weeks) because I can not get the Protein Drinks down because of acid reflux. Got the ok to go swimming! My 3 mushy meals are planned out for the day, so excited about eatting and getting some nutrients in.

Glad you are doing well!!!

I bet you never thought a meal that looks like an infant's plate would excite you so much(smile..LOL) Glad to hear you are doing well

I had my 2 week post op Wednesday. My Dr. said I could go to regular food. Interesting how they all differ a bit on that issue.

I did get 2 CC's added and was happy about that, but don't really feel much difference. I have been pretty hungry and can eat about 1 cup or a bit more. I have been trying to stay under that, but I get hungry after a couple hours.

How are you all doing with that part? I lost 20 lbs. in the first month and don't want to gain any of that back.

My God! 51 lbs in one month. That is incredible.

I don't think us gals can loose that fast. Men seen to have the upper hand when it comes to weight loss. You must have been working out a lot.

I hope it keeps going so well.

I am 3 weeks post op and as of this morning I am down 20lbs! I really don't have an appetite and I have nothing in my band. My 2nd follow up appt is 8-22-12 I don't know if the doctor will give me a fill or not, it's too early to tell. How's everyone doing so far?

I had my surgery July 20, two weeks ago today. I am feeling fine and incisions are almost fully healed. I have4 of them, but I read post about people pushing and feeling their port. I could not tell you where mine is...bc I am too scared to push and find it. Is that normal or am I just being a chicken? ? I go next week for my first post op and fill. Any advice on what happens or how it will fill??

I can feel my port it's pretty cool nothing gross. I'm still a bit sore there can't wear pants without unfastening them while sitting.

Hi! I'm about 5 weeks out and little by little have been getting very hungry. Sometimes drinking makes it go away, but I've been struggling trying to stay under 1/2 cup of food at a time. First fill will be in two weeks..hope it helps! Good luck to you, too!

OMG! I thought I was the only one who still has to unbutton my pants while sitting! lol This phase, too, will pass!

Had my post-op appointment today. Lost 13 pounds since surgery - YAY! Incisions healed well doctor said. On to the mushy/baby food consistency phase. I found out I have the Realize Band which my doctor said it is like the Adjustable Lapband - "It's like Coke and Pepsi, just different brands." However, the Realize band, even without fills, it gives some degree of restriction and it sits better on the stomach he said. It can hold up to 11cc. My 1st fill of about 3cc will be Sept 17th my doctor said. I'm trying my best to stick with the eating phases as I want to be successful with it. I'm on my way :-) All the best to everyone!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
