Anyone Have Lipo Suction?

Recommended Posts

I lost 110 lbs & 5"5. Now a size 8/38dd. I am waiting to be approved for a boob reduction & lift. Scared to have a Tummy Tuck & dont have the cash. I was self pay for the lapband & TT would be the same. Anyone have Lipo in the stomach & upper legs? Does it work? Or I may just need a TT and will have to save.

There was someone about a week ago talking about cool lipo. I googled it and it sounds great. Gets rid if fat and boosts collagen so skin shrinks. I hope whoever that was let's us know how it turned out for her!

Hi there, I had Lipo in 2006 and breast implants. I am 5' 3" and at the time I was 160. I had about the equivalent of a 2ltr bottle of soda of fat removed from my flanks and abdomen. It was very intense and the most amount he could remove from me. Here I am 2012 getting ready for the lap band at 185lbs. I don't have a lot of back fat so that worked good on the back and my flanks but the belly fat is still there. The fat cells they remove don't come back but others can increase and take their place. My Doctor said that I have good elasticity and I didn't have a lot of loose skin so he didn't recommend I do the Tummy Tuck. I think its a personal preference. In my case I would have gained elsewhere. I am hopeful that after getting banded and losing weight I might not need anything else. If so I don't know if I would do the lipo again as it was VERY uncomfortable for me. I was off 10 days and then went to 1/2 days for a week and it truly took me 12 weeks to feel "normal" again. Lots of swelling and bruising. I have two friends who did the tuck at the same time I did lipo and they Love it and still look great! however it is a lot more money and more recovery. I would love to know about the cool lipo. Good luck

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
