Nausea After Fill?

Recommended Posts

I had my first fill this morning and have been getting more nauseous as the day has gone by. My stomach is gurgling and is upset. I wonder if this is anything anyone has experienced or maybe I have caught a stomach bug or something. I just took some Pepto Bismol...hope out helps :(

I just had a fill yesterday, just .5cc and I felt a little nausated yesterday, but today doing better. My first fill I had 1.5cc put in and the nausea lasted about 3 days then went away.. My P.A only requires 24 hours of liquids after fills so I stick with that and move slowly into foods..

I did have a fill where I felt immediately nauseous afterwards....I was too tight. If you think it might be getting sick, then try to wait a day or two. Otherwise, you may need to go back to your doctor.

My very first fill I was nauseous right afterwards. Thought I was going to throw up. After the extreme nausea passed I felt better. I was still nauseous for the rest of the day but only slightly. I drank plenty of fluids and it passed.

Make sure that you only drink Clear Liquids the rest of today. I could only have clear liquids for 2 dyas and then full liquids for 2 days. DOn't try to intake too much at one time, either, that aslo, might cause nausea! Good lcuk, Karen

Could it just be anxiety?

Thank you all for the advice. This was my first fill, 1cc. I am following instructions of liquids for 1 1/2 days, and another 2 days mushies. The nausea is still coming and going, but it's not unbearable.

Maybe its acid reflux? I have had that problem for years, and am on prescription meds for it, and i find after fills i have a couple days of nauseous/gassy/stomach gurgling , but then subsides. See how it is when you do back to regular food, you may need a slight unfill.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
