I'm two weeks post-op i saw my surgeon the other day and asked him and he told me REALIZE is a one size fits all? I didn't want to sit there and grill but I always thought they came in different sizes??

Does anyone know what size there realize band is?? I need to be more firm with my dr and speak up more, he is a man with very few words!!

TIA!!

I have an 11cc Realize band. My doctor gave me a card when he discharged me from the hospital to keep in my wallet. It has all the info about my band in case any other medical professional treating me needs the info. It's pre-printed by the band company with all the band info and my surgeon just filled in his name and the date of the surgery. Did you not receive one of these?

No , I did't get one. I love my surgeron since he is very good at his job ( surgery) very well known but little things he stinks!! I'm going to call the office now and see what's up! Thanks for the info. Does the info on the card have what size band?? If there all different sizes why do they say its one size fits all??

Yes, the card has the maximum fill volume printed on it as well as the "serial number" of the band (or the "patient card ID number) that lets you register online at the Realize website so that you can use their online tools if you want to help support your journey.

It is a generic card, but mine has a stick on it that my doctor placed with the lot number of the band. That's nice to know for future purposes if I ever need to trace the origins of my band. :)

I received a temp card when I was discharged and went online once I got home and they sent me a permenate Patient ID Card. My card has the system id #, Name, surgery date, Surgeon, surgeons telephone number and band size and max fill volume. I was told I could use mine to order kid meals too! LOL...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
