Addicted To The Scale

I'm having a love affair with my scale and I can't seem to end it. I weigh myself everyday when I first wake up and before I go to bed. I'm sure this is abnormal but I can't stop. Am I the only one who suffers from this scale addiction?

If you don't have a positive response I would appreciate it if you keep your thoughts private. Please and Thank you.

I weigh myself every morning. It helps keep me honest. It is like a tool. At night if I know im going to weigh myself the next morning it keeps me from even wanting to snack. I guess Im addicted to the scale too!!!

I am also a scale addict!! I just wish u had a better scale!

I too am addicted to the scale. I would weigh everyday, mostly many times per day. Sometimes I would get frustrated and force myself to stay off for a few days. It would be hard, but I'd do it. I started with a personal trainer today. Our goal is to decrease body fat. She checked it today and will check it again in 5 weeks. She told me, no stepping on the scale for 5 weeks. Tonight I put my scale in the closet. This is going to be very hard, but I'm going to do it.

She said seeing the number on the scale and if you get discouraged, can mess with your hormones and stop weight loss. I'm going to do my best to stay off, so not to get frustrated.

Yes, I am a scale addict! I weigh in the morning as soon as I get up. weighing at night what is the point? I keep thinking if I buy a better scale it will treat me better :). Good luck all!

Cheers,

Kristi
