Hi all!!! I have my third fill Monday and I can't wait! I'm at 4.5 cc's in a 10cc band. I have little restriction and any weight I lose is from counting calories and walking on the treadmill. I know it will get better when I hit restriction. I was just wondering at what amount did people feel good restriction? I know everyone is different and will have different levels but im just curious =)

My surgeon won't even tell his patients how many cc's they have because he said you can't get caught up about how much is in the band - you have to base your success off of how you feel.

I recently had problems with the band being too full and he ended up telling me what was in it. I had 4.5 cc, went down to 3.5cc - gained some weight so went back up to 4cc - then had trouble so went down to 3 cc - continued having trouble so went down to 2 cc - gained some weight - now i'm back up to 2.8cc... that was just last week that I got adjusted to 2cc - we'll see how it goes. Once you get restriction .. .you'll know it! and it's great!

I just had my 3rd fill this week, my doc usually won't tell me how much I have either but did say she put 1cc in this time, I don't remember how many cc's that gives me.

I've got to say that I can finally feel restriction and it feels great...this is what I've been waiting for for 4 months since surgery! I had a salad from Subway today and could probably get 3 or 4 meals out it. Last week, I ate the entire thing no problem. I've had the hiccups all day after eating each meal which I never had before. It sounds like it's a sign from eating too much...I'm still learning. :) But if this is what true restriction is then it's a wonderful thing and I'm soo excited to see the weight start coming off.

Good luck to you on Monday!!! Let us know how it goes!!

i agree with your surgeon about getting caught up in the numbers. and my surgeon only told me cuz i asked, but i'm glad i did because after 4 fills and 2 emergency unfills i knew exactly where i needed to be so now i am almost at 8cc's not sure the size of my band though, never wanted to know that cuz if i have a 10cc band and i have this much already it'll freak me out..lol

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
