True Results San Antonio ??? Anyone ???

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to see if there were any other patients from True Results San Antonio. I wanted to know how your experience with them has been past or present.

I'm scheduled for surgery 2/21 with Dr Carcamo.

I'm not in San Antonio, but I went to True Results in Houston. They have been great with aftercare and my surgery was a breeze. Only took about 45 minutes. Congrats on your new journey. I hope you find some someone in your area.

I am going to True Results San Antonio now. My surgery will probably be early March. My surgeon is Dr. Wright but I have heard good things about your surgeon as well as I have a few "banded" friends. I started the insurance process back in Jan 2010 but found out I was pregnant half through the insurance requirement process. Now my insurance is horrible so I will be self pay for the most of it except for my hernia they found in 2010. I have always had a great experience with them though.

The P.A.'s are hateful and horrible. The surgeon's are very good. But the P.A.'s are -what i would call-dangerous. They don't care, roll their eyes at you, and brush you off when you have a real problem. The surgeons have their own office called South Texas Surgeons. I would use them directly if I were you!!!! (I know this is an old post but I am hoping it can help someone in the future!)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
