  2. Congrats to you on your weight loss! You are doing wonderful and it shows that the band works when you work with it! What a great compliment from your surgeon also to be asked to be in a commercial.
  3. I have been using that site since solids. Just tried the chicken pot pie. The family even loved it, it was so good!

  5. Congrats on your band! That is very cool that your Dr went in through the belly button and you only had 1 insicion. I have 4 but they are small now and barely noticable. enjoy your purees!
  6. CVS Pharmacy carries the liquid acetaminophen, it is the adult strength, cherry flavor, their brand. Some stores carry it in the store if you are lucky or you can order it online. Also look for Tylenol Sore Throat. The only active ingredient in it is 500 Mg of acetaminophen per dose. Good luck!
  7. Congrats on your success so far! Thanks for posting, you give us newbies something to look forward to!
  8. I have degenerative disc disease too. My lower back is where I have the most pain. Even after 3 epidural cortizone injections I was still in pain. However, my spinal surgeon said the exact opposite. He did state that it wasn't ever going to get better, but by losing weight it will relieve some of the pressure off the disc and help some with the pain. I was banded March 7th and I am down 40lbs so far. I am a lot more active now, so my back does flare up more than usual. But I am not taking any more narcotic pain killers any more though because it is not as painful as before. Tylenol is usually enough to take the pain away now.
  9. I don't feel it move but some days it is really sore and I don't feel it until I bend over. Last night was one of those times. It was so painful. I just figured it's cause I got a fill on Monday and it was normal.
  10. Thanks for the info. I hope they are a little cheaper too!
  11. You can also try wellesse.com. They sell liquid vitamins for bariatric patients. I am currently taking them and they don't taste bad at all. I tried the bariatric advantage vita band and they were horrible tasting. I cringed every time it was time to take them.

  13. I had the same problem with breathing right after surgery, it was so hard. My o2 was low so they made me take deep breaths and gave me some more oxygen for about 15 minutes after my procedure. I am amazed that your surgeon wanted you to eat eggs and toast already! I guess every surgeon is different. Glad everything went well for you, you are on the road to recovery and better health!
  14. I had the same problem with my oxygen too but they made me breathe deeply and put me on oxygen for about 10-15 minutes. The nurse told me she wouldn't let me go home if it was down. I think it is the medication they give to dry you out with. Hope it comes up soon.
  15. Keep your eye on the prize!!! You can do it!!
  16. I wasn't old to measure either but they want me to drink at least 3, 3-4oz shakes a day. I feel like I can barely get them down. I had my procedure on the 7th and have only been able to drink 2 a day. I have also been doing benefiber since yesterday since no BM either. Ugh.
  17. I mean New Braunfels lol
