With having to get 60g Protein in, which Ive been pretty right on I thought we could share any tricks of getting extra Protein in.

My favorite is WonderSlim chocolate pudding -15g and

add 1/4c riccotta cheese (skim)-7g.

It makes it really creamy and very filling!

Mags,

I still rely on my Protein Shake in the morning to help. I mix it with skim milk and 1 scoop of Peanut Butter for extra Protein. That way, I can get about 30 grams right there.

I like fat free or lowfat cottage cheese as well. I even had some fat-free refried Beans the other night with a little bit of low fat cheese, fat free sour cream and taco sauce. It was great.

I struggle with this... The most important part. So I rely on Protein Shots 42 grams of whey Protein. It's called New Whey, 1 vile shot has 180 calories, 2 carbs and 0 sugar. I do 1/2 of one a day (1 vile lasts 2 days) so it's an easy 21 grams right there. GNC sales it for $3.49 a vile. I am going to see the nutritionist this week. I thought I paid careful attention to her ideas but without thisI would not get my 60 grams.

@ doctordiva.... They try to hide the Protein flavor with a fruity taste but you still can taste the protein. With that said, the taste is horrible, I hold my breath as I sip. But it it's a lot of protein in just 3.8 so to me it's worth the taste.

I use Protein Shakes. Premier Nutrition brand at costco have 30 g in one shake. I drink that for Breakfast and eat a lot of fish (mostly sole) for dinner. If I don't have fish, I eat greek yogurt to make up for it (14 g in a 6 oz cup). This way,I get my 65g of Protein in most days.

I do an unjury Protein Shake in the morning- with skim milk it's 28 g Protein. Remember, your body can't really process more than 25-30 g Protein at a time, so any more at a time is a waste.

I also eat greek yogurt, it has a lot of protein, the 0% fat with cherry is like 120 calories. Also canned chicken or tuna. With eating these things I've had no problem getting in at least 60 g protein, and it's usually more.

Where do you get the WonderSlim protein? That sounds good for a chocolate fix!!

Thanks for the reminder of the Protein processing limits our body has. Thats why I love this site- it keeps us all up to date! I ordered the Unjury shakes. Should be getting them soon! I haven't really had any issues getting all my protein in either. I DID discover however that Prudence (my band's name) does NOT like 100%wheat sandwich thins! OMG I thought I was dying.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
