Anybody dealt with this problem??

  • I am 3 weeks post banded and everything has gone just perfect. Then 3 days ago, it seems as if I have something stabbing me in the bottom of my esophagus. It feels like when you have something stuck and then its sore afterwards. But, I didn't have anything get stuck. All I had that day was mashed potatoes and some ice cream. I really only feel it when I swallow a certain way or take a really deep breath. It doesn't feel far down in my stomach, just at the bottom of my throat. Does that make sense to anybody?? I'm just wondering if anyone experienced anything like this? Oh, I did take some tylenol that day but I cut them up to swallow. I just can't figure out what I've done. :help: Thanks for any insight you might have!!!

I did have the very same thing sometime in my first year of banding. It was very disconcerting, but it did go away and honestly, I still don't know what it was.. It felt very much like something physically was up in my throat. I would discuss this with my doc. (or I should I have). :)
