Yay Me! I Kicked Soda Cold Turkey!

And I drank a LOT of diet soda! I'm talking, I'd buy a 2 liter and just stick a straw in it!!! We didn't have any soda in the house on Sunday, so without really thinking about it I didn't drink any and I had a HORRIBLE headache- so then I figured I might as well just keep going, so no soda yesterday and none so far today- my headache is back and I'm super crabby, but I'm done!!!

Phew!

Awesome! Good for you! It's amazing how much better you will feel not drinking them. My band doesn't like them so much. Me? I miss my Diet Coke like crazy!!

Awesome! Way to go! I am trying to go cold turkey too!

That's one of the best things to kick ! It also causes a Beer Belly affect on some people, if they drink enough of it.

It did for me....

Good Job :)

Good for you! Keep going Soda is really not good for you, whether it be reg. or diet. Try water with fresh fruit :)

Yay!! I used to drink soda but to get ready for my band i stopped. That was back in March 2011. An honestly i dont miss it at all. Keep going it gets better.

CONGRATS!!!! wtg! I also was a coke drinker, bigtime, all my life first thing every morning had to have it, its been over a year now.... i would have never ever thought i could go a day without one. about 6 month ago i took a sip and it was so nasty i cant believe how much i loved them ....now if i can only put down the smokes

Yay me too! That was my biggest fear of lb surgery. I'm glad to over that I'm going to save a huge amt of money. When I told friends and family I was going to be banded the first thing everyone of them said was " you knw you're going to have stop drinking soda" lol. Great job!!! Oh I really like the MIO drops you add to water o cals. They are in tea area of store

Good for you! I am still pre-op, but in my recent nutrition class they said to avoid all carbonated drinks post-op.

While I enjoyed diet soda I did not drink it as much as some people. I did however have it up until the day before surgery. I have'nt really missed it but did have a funny thing happen at Walmart one day. It was later in the evening and the store was practically empty. While I was paying at the register someone came up behind me and opened the soda fridge. The sound of that door opening gave me this huge urge to drink a soda (or tonic as my mother would say). So random!

I really don't miss soda like I thought I would let's hope it staya that way
