Today Is My One Year Bandiversary "according To Their Records !"

Recommended Posts

I got a email wishing me a Happy 1 year Anniversary !

I said Thank You, and I appreciate that, but it's actually wrong !

I was Banded 10/31/2006... So their calculations are a little off.

I have contacted them before on this matter, but never a response

So Happy New Year to me!!!, and Happy "make believe" 1 year Bandiversary to me also...

I just had to start the year off with a Bang... LOL

They are actually referring to when you joined LapBand Talk. Under your nsme it says Jan-1-2011 so that is why they sent you the email. The AWESOME thing is you have inspired me incredibly, seeing you have lost 104 pounds and kept it all off after five years!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!

Thanks I appreciate that... But I joined a long time ago. That was a new email address, and they botched it up, and have me listed as a 1 year Bandster.

I keep giving them my old email address, and tell them to look me up ! I was here ! I can even look up my old posts as a October Bandster 2006. But they don't make the connection, or don't bother, because I never get a reply......

Anyway, you have lost a lot of weight ! CONGRATS ! So you are doing just fine, and holding your own ! Keep up the Great Work ! and never look back.

Shirley.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
