Need Energy!

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have been dragging butt here lately... I need some help/advice on what I can do to boost my energy level...when I get home from work I just dont have the energy to go workout and I really want to keep this incorporated into my everyday life. Do I need to eat something different? I get plenty of sleep, so any help would be lovely!!

thank you

:faint:

I know this sounds silly, but once you start working out... you will have more energy to work out...

You might have to drag butt for a couple of days... but once you get started you will have a lot of energy to keep you going.

Well, you need to make sure you are getting enough calories. When I was too tight, I was only able to manage about 700 calories and I was really dragging butt.

Heather makes a very good point, that you will have more energy once you start working out.

Of course, it is cold and flu season, so maybe you caught a bug...

I agree with Vines. Look at your calorie intake and what you are eating (hopefully Protein first). Also, keep taking your vitamins...Shawn

I like Champion Nutrition Pure whey Stacked....ordered from vitalady.com

It is mixed with Water and each scoop has 26 grams of Protein, 1-3 grams of sugar depending on flavor, 1.5 grams of carbs. It mixes well with just a fork (no blender needed)

Plenty of fresh fruit and veges too and take your Vitamins. I really think lack of energy can be a sign of being a bit too tight - you may not be PBing or having pain but if you cant eat enough to feel normal perhaps that's something to think about.

Of course it might only be necessary to pay more attention to the quality of your diet, not the quantity.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
