2 weeks post-op Mushie Questions!

Recommended Posts

I did a bit of searching about mushie foods and found some really good things. I picked up some stuff today! I got stuff for the fat free refried Beans, and the pastaless lasagne! I'm excited to try them. I also saw some people mention tuna salad and chicken salad. (I picked up a food processor haha.) Those things are okay to eat 2 weeks post op? Should I wait until my 2nd week of mushies?

I also picked up cream Soups (cream of broccoli, cream of cheddar, cream of potato). These are okay too, right?

What about beans? I picked up some bushes baked beans. Are these okay? Do I have you puree those as well? Just looking for some ideas so I can make some stuff for lunches during the week!

Are you going to be pureeing the tuna and chicken salad? I did hear to make sure to use light mayo when making those. Also, with the Soups, make sure to check the labels. I believe non lumpy Soup is good for the mushy stage but make sure it's worth the calories (i.e., check the Protein and fat). Are you pureeing the baked Beans? I would check the label on those as well. I wish I were at that stage! Haha. Good luck!

I was told mushies need to be of a consistency that would go through a straw. That's a little hard with some stuff, but I'd just

use it as a guide as to how well to chew. Looks like you're doing great.

        Hi!

I would love to be your accountability partner. I had the sleeve in 2021, so maybe I can give you some insights.

Please message me back, looking forward to hearing from you!

        -Jessi
