I dunno what is going on with me. I've had 3 fills and the last one was on Jan. 3rd (so a month and a half ago). I've lost almost 20lbs in a month, but the last fill was a doosey and I got full really quick. Now I am able to eat almost twice as much as I could say 2 weeks ago. :hungry:

I'm 6 months out and wondering what the heck is going on. Perhaps the 20lbs I lost loosened my band a bit? I haven't been hungry since my last fill, now I've been getting hungry 3-4 hours after my last meal. hmmmm

Hi, Carrie. It sounds like your last fill has held up really well. If it takes you 3-4 hours to get hungry, and you are still losing weight, I wouldn't mess with it. Maybe a very slight tweak if you are super concerned about the quantity you can eat. Congratulations on the great work!

Make sure you're reaching for Protein first -- for the hungry part.

Otherwise, a call or email to your doctor / nurse / nutritionist might be in order. To suddenly double the amount you eat, ouch!

That much weight loss in a month is scary good. :) Congrats!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
