OMG!!! You guys are such inspiration!!! I hope to do the same when I finally get banded in December. I want to be in onderland by June! Wishing you guys all the SUCCESS!!!

I want to hit the ground running with the band...any pointers or tips will be greatly appreciated! Are you guys still on shakes, what are your meals like, working out? I have read lots of inspirational stories and some not so inspiring on here. I just want to make sure that I do my part and hoping the band will do hers, so I can get results like you guys. I am hoping to inspire some newbies next year WOOHOO!!! :) LOL I even named my soon to be band "Hopey" :D I may give her a last name "Hopey Will"

Hey Skinny...let me see if I can answer some of your questions. I do still drink a Protein shake every morning for Breakfast. I like the EAS carb control. As far as my diet, I really just try to keep my calories between 900-1200 a day. Other than that I do not do anything special. I do eat a lot less than before. I do not have any fills yet, so I do not have any restriction. I can eat bread and whatever. I only drink Water and crystal lite. Now, working out...I do that. Before work, I use the Wii Fit for 35 mins and then after work, I do about 45 mins of cardio (Walk Away The Pounds or Cardio Hip Hop or something like that) and about 40 mins of resistance (one day weights, the next resistance band)! I was walking about 3-4 miles a day before it got cold, so I have replaced it with the videos. Hope this helps!

WOW Shakey!!! That is great. Do you feel like you are doing all the work since you have no restriction? Or do you feel that the band has helped you with hunger?

See working out is not the problem for me its the caloric intake. I am a food addict. Last year I was working out 5 days a week (no band) I managed to lose (40lbs) I was at 200.4 NEVER made to onderland. Mostly because I couldn't stop eating. After a month of no weight loss I gave it all up...now I am here 50 lbs heavier on my journey to get the Lapband. I have tried on my own too many times. I actually made to a size 10 before my second child.

Hearing your story makes me hopeful...Losing that kind of weight in such a short time!!!! If I am as successful as you guys I will be doing the happy dance in my skinny jeans by summer WOOHOO

Skinny- I do not feel like I am doing all the work. I am really never hungry. I think the 2 weeks of liquids helped shrink my stomach. I also eat 4-5 small meals a day instead of 3 bigger meals a day. That way my metabloism stays up and I am hardly hungry. I got down to 215 3 years ago and gained 70 pounds after a very close friend of mine passed...now I am at 209 and have a goal to lose a total of 100 pounds by the 14th of January. 10 weeks to get off 24.5 more pounds!

Awesome job! What an inspiration! I've read where most bandsters are eating the 3 meals a day, but you're 5-6 small meal idea helps because it helps get through the day and I seem to loose at a more steady pace. Keep up the great work and keep us updated. Way to Go!!!

Skinny-

You sound so much like me! I have worked out 5 days a week and seen nothing as a result. It's so disappointing and frustrating! I'm not a binge eater, but I do tend to eat most of my calories in groups or single settings instead of spreading them out over the course of the day. It's not unusual for me to not eat until late afternoon, then eat too much. I'm working very hard on eating smaller amounts more often. I've switched from Dr Pepper to Diet Dr Pepper and Dr Pepper 10. My dr allows diet soda, which was a relief to me. I also drink loads of Water, and love the crystal light type packets in them as well. I've been overweight all my life, but lost a lot of weight before my first son was born by using Phentermine. I made it to a size 9/10. I was THRILLED, and my goal is to make it back there. After my pregnancy, I became a stay at home mom, and the weight just never came off. It's been downhill from there. I'm currently a 22/24 ohmy.gif I would be overjoyed to make it to onederland my June or July- one of my goals is to be able to go to our local Water park or our neighborhood swimming pool and not be embarrassed. It's going to be a lot of work to make it there, but I am sooo committed to making it! We went to a brazilian restaurant last night (all you can eat meat brought to you constantly by servers). Love this place and usually leave soooo stuffed! I am so proud to say that I was very choosy about what I ate, and only at the things that were particularly yummy, and chose not to eat the things that were just "ok". I managed to leave there without feeling stuffed. I'm sure I ate more than I ever will after I'm banded, but I really am proud that I was not stuffed full and was able to pick and chose. I got my "farewell" dinner done, and am looking forward to the next step in this journey!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
