Want to see how long you'll live? Take the Life-Expectancy Quiz!

Recommended Posts

This is kind of cool. I took the quiz and, according to my calculations, I'll be living until the age of 96.

Here's an excerpt taken from the following website:

http://www.demko.com/deathcalculator.htm

"Your chances of living 100 years are "90 to 1". The odds get better with each new scientific discovery. One million boomers are expected to reach 100 years of age. Will you achieve membership in this prestigous "one-in-a-million" club? Don't sit and wonder. Find out ... right now."

well, if it wasn't for that last question, I'd be imortal. That -2 for each occurance of depression, obesity, and diabetis, well, knocked 20 points right off.

So, put me down for 99. Which, given my family history, isn't that far fetched. My grandmother is 94, my grandfather died when he was 96, and several of his brothers and sisters lived longer than that.

I need a new dog

mine was 72, but I think the numbers are skewed.

"04. Grandparent lived to 85-plus? Add 2 for each long-lived grandparent."

My grandmother hasn't reached 85 yet... she's not even 80 yet! I wonder if great-grandparents count? Both of my great-grandparents on my maternal grandmother's side lived to 85-plus. Hmmm....

Just the obesity and diabetes (both parents) took off 8 years.

And, I need another daughter!

Glad I'm not the only one! I was doing OK on the quiz, then I started counting the relatives on both hands. . . almost needed my feet too. Result? 65.5. That's four-and-a-half more years than my father had -- but it just seems too damn close!

...guess I'm doomed to 102....my grandpa actually was IN the hospital when he broke his leg jumping over the end of the bed chasing the nurse....really....

Oh! that is too funny! No philandering in my family, none to speak of anyway. But when my Grandma was about 82, my uncle couldn't find her anywhere, so he drove out to Aunt Lilly's place and there he found her all right. My Grandma and Aunt Lilly (she was about 90) were busily re-roofing Aunt Lilly's house, by themselves.

I'm supposedly gonna' live to the ripe ole' age of 96, except I don't want to live past 95.

Thats the age that my grandma lost her marbles- she couldn't tell the difference between a toothbrush and a tennis racket.

I figure I'll live as long as I believe I will. So I'm not going to look and get a number in my head that will jinx me! *laughs*

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
