where do they put your port?

Hi, I'm getting banded in October and was wondering where they put your port? People have talked about the scares but not where the port is. Any thought would be appreciated.:)

Mine is on the left just below my ribcage.

Mine is right above my bellybutton.

Mine is on the left side

My port is almost dead center, right below where my bra sits. A few inches above my bellybutton.

Mine is slightly to the left a couple inches below my rib cage!

Mine is to the right of my navel - maybe two inches,

Mine is about 1-2 inches about my belly button just to the left :-)

Above, sorry

Slightly to the left, couple of inches below my rib cage. Not quite where I understood it would be from the surgeon who indicated it would be below my largest scar and that he needed the scar to heal well so he could access my port - but it's nowhere near it!

to the left of my belly button...right now...but I have to go back to surgery on Sept 28 because my OB cut my tubing and my Band surgeon said she may have to repostion it a little higher depending on where he cut at..
