Hello I just got banded aug 19th and was wondering if anyone around my area is too. Lonely here lol

Hello banders I am very new (banded aug 19th this year) and tonight when I was getting ready for a shower i realized I have a lump/bump near my belly button. I would say golf ball size.. Never had it before... I'm stressing out!! Could it be a hernia?!? Anyone have any with the band? Just scared cause I have been following everything to the T... Any advice would be good. Thanks!!

I don't have any advice but my step mon is gong through the same thing, she gained 80 pounds, she was looking into doing the band but someone told her to talk to her doctor about a revision? Idk.. Sorry not helpful

Does it feel like someone is sitting on ur chest? Doctor told me is was due to drinking fast and/or I was full.. I got banded aug 19th 2011

Wow I was on clear liquids 2 days after surgery then a week of full liquids n I start purée foods next week then reg foods...I would follow what doctor orders cause looks like everyone had something different

I'm hungry lol I'm on my full liquid diet was doing great till I had to cook dinner tonight sigh so I'm gonna have to fight it lmao but other then that I'm happy I made this decision, lost 3 pounds since friday.

Its so worth it in the long run i just got banded friday (aug 19th) pain was very minimal and as far as the gas I walked around good luck we r all here for you

Wow I never thought about this now I'm gonna have to find out if my insurance covers them or what's my price out of pocket

Haha im still at "what the heck am I doing" lol it was hard to this conclusion but after dieting exercising I was getting no where! I have a friend who had it done in 08 was a size 24 n now she's a 8 I was like holy cow!!!! I haven't been in single digits since hmm high school!!! So now after I got banded I'm so optimistic I will become the girl my husband met years ago and I will have the energy I need to play with my kids! I know it will be hard cause I love food!!! I just have to make healthier n smaller portions to satisfy me. Terri do you Facebook or anything? Would love to get to know you, my first friend that got banded the same week I did lol

Today i started my first day on full liquids!!!! This weekend was nothing but clear so I am stoked to say I can drink a protien shake .. I will b on full liquids this week n monday start pureed foods! Been looking around this website n some have some awesome recipes!! Can't wait to try it out! I went down 3 pounds since Friday I'm hoping this is the answer I have been looking for
