Recommended Posts

I had my surgery 4 days ago (Monday Morning) outpatient and am attempting to get the nutrients I need and required liquid. I am walking but not cause it feels good! I am wondering if they went into my belly button cause its glued shut :/

This is all so surreal.

I am mostly here for support...the medical center I went to is good...but their support groups are far for me and I don't have any friends who can identify. So hi...anyone wanna be friends? Haha

Hey there Frankie ! Congrats on your surgery. Walking sucks, but it helps you feel better faster. Good for you for doing it. What kind of shakes are you drinking? I just had my first fill today, (I was banded june 20) and I'm back on liquids for 3 days, and mushies for 3 days. I'm pretty sick of the shakes I'm drinking. Good luck on your journey!

Congratulations to you and you should pat yourself on the back for walking when you would rather be resting.

Hiya! I was banded just one day after you! I also did outpatient surgery and really liked the shakes they gave me in the hospital. I wish i could find them now! (they were in juicebox & tasted good, but i think they had 10 carbs which is more than all the others). I'm using nectar shakes and the pre-mixed 35 grams of Protein Shakes that come in cans at Trader Joes. It's weird to be sipping just 2 ounces every hour, but i'm feeling pretty full. My big scar really hurts a fair amount, but the shoulder pain has gone after doing a decent amount of moving around the house. It doesn't really feel like the oxycodon is doing much- how are your pain meds treating you?

How many scars do you have? I have 5 & no glued-shut belly button :)

Hey Frankie. I had my surgery on Tuesday morning. Was in a little pain but was able to go for about a 30 minute walk once I got home from the hospital. Even went out with my girlfriend to run some errands. The day after was a little painful. Feeling good today. Hope your journey is a fast and healthy one. Keep in touch!

I have kept walking and continue to have gassy pains....intestinal and non intestinal. The Protein powder I got is called synthesix from GNC, the reason I got it was because it contains Fiber and before my surgery on the shakes I got horribly constipated and feared the pain of that added to an already uncomfy belly. So far so good. I also got a huge container of powdered, drinkable Vitamins. Honestly I am really over sweet tasting stuff but considering how over food I am....worth it, totally!

The pain Meds are ok but for the past 3 days I have tried really hard not to use them unless its to sleep and they seem to do the job when I need them.

I have 4 holes in my tummy and since my belly button is glued shut and has twinges of pain I assume they used there too.

So far I have lost 9 pounds since Monday!

Am wondering if anyone had issues with their breathing and throat.

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
