For the past two weeks, I am burping worse than usual, passing gas, my stomach is burning and I can't hardly eat anything maybe 500 calories if that. I have lost 5lbs since Sat. Does it sound like Gastritis to anyone and my bad is too tight just trying to save the money to go back and get Fluid out. It has been like this since Dec. Any advice will be helpful.:(

it sounds like you're too tight. after my last fill i had HORRIBLE pain in my stomach whenever i ate anything solid. i was really scared that i had a slip or something b/c most people report things like heart burn, pb'ing, etc when they're too tight. i had none of that. my dr sent me for an xray, and everything was fine, so he had me come in and took out 1 cc of Fluid. low and behold that was it. apparently when i'm too tight, my symptoms are horrendous, almost debilitating pain in my stomach. now i know for the future, but it really sounds like you're way too tight.

Does sound like you're too tight. If you call your doctor's office and tell him that you're suffering with these complications maybe he'll see you to take Fluid out and put you on a payment plan for the unfill. Hope you feel better soon!

Yeah I called the dr. and they have changed their pricing and its alot cheaper and they are offering installments as well. I go tomorrow at 5pm. Wish me luck just hope all these months of vomiting didn't cause my port to flip.

Your port is probably fine and even if it is not that is the least of your worries. Hopefully you do not have a prolapse or erosion from being too tight. Please let us know how your appointment goes.

I know this thread is so old but did you ever figure out what was wrong? I'm having similar issues but I don't have any saline in my band

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
