Calling tattoed bandsters!

I posted ths on another thread somewhere recently. This is on the side of my lower left leg. I love my dragon. This was my first tattoo, because I have other plans. I haven't noticed any difference in the way it looks, but its not on a terribly fatty part of my body being as it's the lower leg.

Okay, I've had a few glasses of wine, and I've always wondered this... I know we have lots of LBT members with tattoes. As you lose (or gain) weight, have they shrunk nicely, or do you have a bunch of tattoes that look like something out of a Salvador Dali painting? My sister has a big tiger on her stomach, and I've always wondered if it turned into a big blob after she got pregnant...

Just a side note: my mom is so cute... she was just talking the other day about how so and so's daughter had a tattoo and none of her kids would ever get one. Little does she know 3 of her 5 kids have one, lol. (not me - I was too chicken, but maybe when I get down to goal!!)

My tats are doing just fine, and my wife has one one her back that so far looks like its doing ok.

the ones i think will not be so good are the ones on "back arms".

(that cute little tiger might look like hes waving good bye. )

An ex of mine had a lightening bolt tattooed on his manhood! Now tell me that didn't hurt? How in the world, he did that I don't know, but that is just CRAZY!!!

I'd have to tattoo an entire hurricane, a lightning bolt would get lost.

I think I'll get some flesh-colored tattoos that no one can see.

BTW... Yea STEELERS!!!!!

They do hurt. And location can play a factor too. It feels like a cat-scratch basically. I have heard it described as an annoying pain that you want to stop, but you grin and bare it. Then some people totally get in a zone and pay no attention to the pain. DO NOT USE NUMBING AGENTS!!! They only make the pain worse when they wear off and then you are screwed. Take some Tylenol before and have Water and chew gum. That is how I have gotten through mine, especially my back. Tops of the feet hurt, soft underside of arm is tender, elbows I have heard are a bitch, ribcage hurts, etc....you just have to try it and see what you can handle. But you have to be sure that you want it because once they start and you make them stop and not finish...you will have a tat that you are unhappy with. And I say this with a little knowledge...I co-own a tattoo shop with my mother-in-law. :)

When I had my little butterfly done I was a little intoxicated and the outlining of it didn't hurt at all, but when they were coloring it in... OUCH!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
