Sixty Down & Forty to go....

Recommended Posts

OMG!!!

It just hit me that as of today, I only have forty lbs to go to my goal weight that I have on my signature line here. I'm thinking that as much as I'm able to fit into smaller clothes at the weight I am right now, I think 115 should be just fine. I don't want to be a skeleton after all.

It's funny, because I was just modifying my signature line to show my current weight and that's when it hit me. KaBlam! Forty lbs to go!!

This means, that I have now lost more than 1/2 of what I wanted to lose.

I'm enjoying hearing the different words that people use to describe how much weight I've lost/how good I'm looking: Like "You're melting away", You're skinny", "You're wasting away" and I think my favorite is the one I heard today "You're disintegrating". Today another female I work with called me and told me she had seen me walking down the hallway and told me I was looking good.

Even though my weight fluctuates up and down 2-3 lbs for awhile, I eventually really go down to a lower weight and then the same thing happens again. (It's like I get this little plateaus all the time), I am happy.

I still think my thighs look like tree trunks, accept at least they're more muscular tree trunks than before.

So, I just had to share this. I hope everyone else is doing well and if you're struggling, stick with it. I know it's not been super easy for me, but it's paying off big time.

Great job!! I also was told today "You are looking thinner" and it is just so nice to hear (though hard to know how to take a compliment, know what I mean?)

Congrats to you! I cant wait to get to 1/2 way. That will feel pretty good! I just posted the same thing about the way that I am losing. I get a fill and drop big and then play around with 1-2 lbs for awhile and then I will lose 1 lb a week for a couple of weeks a then I am ready for a fill again. Weird

Thanks everyone and good luck to you all also.

P.S. I did hear a new word to describe how much I'm losing. The other day, one of my co-workers said I was disintergrating. I was like, "Well, thanks; I appreciate that".

Im down 38 with 39 to go, so im pretty much 1/2 way there. It is funny how it just hits you some times of how much you really have lost.

I have little mini goals and I am only 3 lbs from of 196 by august 1st. But if I continue at the rate im going, im still gonna make my goal by thanksgiving.

Congrats on your weight loss!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
