Hi everyone! I hope to be having the lap band done soon. I am still in the process of seeing the psych. MD. One appointment left then referrals are to be made to the insurance company. The nutritionist, PCP, and the psych. MD. believe I will have no problem getting the referral. I keep on hearing insurance horror stories. and I am getting discouraged. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Hello--I too am just waiting to hear back from the insurance. I tell you, you are not alone...it is nerve wrecking waiting for a response, however, just ensure you read up on your insurance policy requirements. If you have met all their requirements, then their shouldn't be a reason why they wouldn't grant you the approval. So make sure you are in compliance with your insurance policy and the rest should be a breeze.
