Two Weeks of Bad! Need to get with the program

Recommended Posts

I went to a scrapbook retreat two weeks ago and have been off every since. I havent gained anything, but I have not eaten right since then. I have been having way to many carbs (even popcorn). I dont eat alot at a time, so I dont think I have stretched my stomach. But I need to get better this week.

I go in for a fill on Thursday, so I am hoping that will help. Until then, I am going to try and just back to what I need to be doing. I also have not been on this site, which I think also helps me stay in check. So I promise to check in everyday now. I am bummer because it seems like I have lost two weeks of losing portential :o

Thanks for listening :(

I could have written this --sort of. I have had two bad weeks too. Cravings and Grazing. I wanted chocolate, ice cream, cheese cake, etc. I started eating better yesterday and have gotten back on my square today. Ate my lunch of tuna fish, string and rice cakes (mild chili which are yummy). Going to the gym at noon to work out for 30-40 minutes. I felt so good that I allowed myself the treats...crazy and self defeating.

We can do it!!

I think this is a normal part of the process-- relapse! You have the right idea by making plans to nip it in the bud. I need to do the same.

thanks for posting this...i've been in a really bad place the last two weeks. we went on a mini-vacation for four days starting on the 18th of june. I gave myself permission to eat badly and came back and haven't gotten back on the wagon since. this morning, i weighed in 13 pounds heavier than i was on june 18th. i know that it's not all a real gain, but it's so depressing to see the scale go back up, especially when i worked so hard to get it down. i'm doing all liquids today and tomorrow (hoping that i make it without cheating) and really hope that that takes away my horrible carb cravings. i want my motivation back!

I hear you all! I have been not as good as I could have been lately!! I do realize we need to a=watch what we eat and do our part-but the band needs to do it's part too!! I had excellent restriction for about 5 days after my first fill. I know what the band can do when it is propery adjusted and it's great! I wasn't even able to eat more than a very small amount. Now I can eat a big dinner. My next fill is in 17 days and I can not wait! I know for sure there's light at the end of the tunnel!

Luckly the band is still doing its job a little bit, I get pretty full with a little bit, but I wish it hated carbs. They need to add a carb blocker to the band. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
