Hey,

Ive just stumbled across this, I hope im not to late lol

I was banded by Dr Chris on 21st June.

The best person to contact is Fredrik, he is Dr Chris's assistant. his email address is frederik.serneels@ecfs.be

The current standard package is 4150 euro - this includes the op, hotel for 2 people for 3 nights and taxi transfers

You pay 500 euro in advance to secure your chosen date, this must be at least 2 weeks before you travel, to ensure they can arrange everything. Then the remaining amout is paid when you see Fredrik or Bart on the night you arrive.

I hope this helps

Jo x

Hi Julie,

Thanks for your emails of support over the last weeks they have been great. I had the jitters last night and thought about changing my date but spent an hour on the phone to Bridget and she talked me through the whole process again (she has the patience of a saint) and I feel really positive now and have paid my deposit, booked my trains and now my adventure is about to start.

I have to agree calling Europe Surgery was the best thing I have done they have organised everything for me and literally been on call 24/7 to answer all me queries.

I have now spoken to lots of Bridgets past patients and they have all made me feel very relaxed and have helped me confirm that I am making the right decision. Having some one in the UK to help me do all this has just made my life easier and I am now looking forward to the brand new me appearing in about 6 - 12 months.

Thanks to everyone for all their support and a big thank you to Bridget and her team.

Anyone who wants to ask me an questions about my experience so far just inbox me and I will reply.

Big Daddy D over and out

The europesurgery office just get back to you straight away and are there for you if you need anything after having the band fitted, its the same price where ever you book but its better to stick to the uk office if your in the UK as you have the help line to ring if your ever stuck on any thing

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
