What was your "WOW" outfit?

Recommended Posts

People have noticed that I have been losing weight for a while now. But it was not until I wore a certain outfit about a month ago, that people really turned their heads and really noticed!! That was my "WOW" outfit!

It is a black pullover sem-fitted top (which was new for me since everything I always wore was full cut to hide my body!!) I wore it with black stretch capris and a pair of heels. Whenever I wear this outfit, I always get huge compliments about how good I look. Makes me feel a little proud! :biggrin3:

I got my hair cut and put on a blue dress that had a cinch waist. My best friend didn't recognize me. Now that dress is too big.

I just received a "Save the Date" card for a wedding next March,. I can't waitto get a skinny dress for that wedding!! That dress will be my WOW dress! When I was a lot thinner I had a beautiflu red dress with no sleeves that I wore to a Christmas wedding- it's a size 12 and I would love to fit into that again!

I think my first wow outfit was a really simple black drop-waist cotton sundress from Target, of all things. I couldn't believe how complimentary people were! I also get lots of comments when I wear my (now too big) white pants with a gold or cream top and gold sandles.

I couldnt pinpoint one - there are several that let me know I went a bit too far with weight loss, sigh. Like a top I have a photo of me wearing and all I notice is ribs in my chest.

But the thing that looks the best on me and makes me feel really hot is a pair of true religion skinny jeans. They really really are worth the money!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
