Happy Monday...(is there ever a happy monday???)

I am having my lapbanding done this August or September. I started this all on February 14, 2011. I am still in disbelief that this is actually going to happen, and probably will be until I schedule an actual date. I've been seeing a nutritionist, exercise physiologist, and doing therapy with the bariatric group I chose. They're pretty helpful; alot of is just me changing old habits. I'm still slacking on the exercise part, which I would have thought would be the easiest part because I used to be a runner, & I've always had a gym membership...but apparently I can't get my act together on that part of this deal.

I started this "journey" at 247lbs on the scale at the doctor's office, but my scale at home this weekend said 237-8. If I've lost any weight its probably due to the Wellbutron I just started taking, it completely kills my appetite. I don't even want to snack...I'm eating like 2 1/2 meals a day if I can get all that down. So maybe it will help...

My goal is to drop 100lbs within 18 months. I know I can do this if I start putting myself first and exercising for a good hour a day. My problem is I focus too much on everyone else and not enough on me.

By the way, I'm 31, a registered nurse, live in Mt. Airy, Maryland; I'm not married and I don't have kids, just one dog. I have a big family, I have elderly parents, and a pretty easy job. I love sports, reading, writing, movies, TV, music, the beach...I would love to chat with other future banders and past banders...hit me up :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
